Flowers for Society Is Bridging the World of Sneakers and NFTs

Flowers for Society is a UK-based footwear brand bringing together the extensine worlds of sneakers and NFTs.The label’s mechanism is simple: purchase its debut Seed.ONE sneaker and in turn receive a personalised NFT which will be the key to all future brand releases. This means that only those who own the NFT can get their hands on future limited edition releases and collaborations, also meaning it becomes more valuable over time.“Nowadays it’s become almost impossible to get the releases or the sneakers you really want,” explains the brand’s founder Till Jagla. “We as a team observed the crypto and sneaker markets closely and always came back to the conclusion: combining the two markets by having a physical sneaker brand based on tech”.On where Jagla envisages Flowers for Society within an already-congested market: “I truly believe the brand will become a safe space for collectors, sneakerheads and even the NFT community,” he says. “We want to make people feel again and hope our metaverse will be based on values, storytelling and products that really make a difference”. Kiko Kostadinov Switches Gears With the Release of Its Maiden High Boot

Kiko Kostadinov’s in-line footwear has been spiraling into a world of its own, and now the designer has released his latest offering — the Maiden High Boot.Looking not too dissimilar to pair of motorbike boots, the Maiden features a multi-material construction that sees Raw Terrain rubber used on the base, foot, and sole unit alongside leather and nylon for the shaft. By using rubber as tough and rugged as this, Kostadinov’s design ensures that you’ll be able to tackle every type of terrain and the boots will see little impact as you wear them from season to season. As touched upon, leather and nylon come together to form the shaft that runs up the leg to knee height. Leather constructs the front section, wearing a full-length front-placed zipper that allows you to put the boots on easier, while the brown nylon works the back section and comes pinched at the calf and cuffed on the opening of the boot. The Maiden is a deviation from what we’ve previously seen from Kostadinov. In recent seasons, the designer has played with amphibious-looking shapes to create pairs such as the Jehtra and Harkman, but for the Maiden, the aesthetic is altogether far more technical, tactile, and akin to the aesthetic applied in his CamperLab collaborations.Kiko Kostadinov’s Maiden High Boot can be seen above and bought from retailers including Très Bien now, where it costs $845 USD.In case you missed it, here’s an official look at the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Foamposite One.

Take an Official Look at the Nike SB Dunk Low “Chlorophyll”

Nike SB has recently been releasing a multitude of out-of-the-box Dunk Low editions and is now taking a few steps back into the ’80s as it receives a “Chlorophyll” treatment. The classic color scheme was last seen on the Air Jordan 3 and first debuted on the Air Trainer 1 from 1987.Mike Packer of Packer Shoes recently sat down with HYPEBEAST for a Sole Mates episode to discuss his affinity for the specific Air Trainer 1 in the definitive combination of the leather, suedes and shades. The latest offering at hand is constructed with more circulation through the perforated leather hitting both the toe boxes and quarters. Suede overlays wrap around the uppers with a black mudguard and lateral Swoosh while the eyestays, heel and heel tab are decked in a smokey gray hue. The “Chlorophyll Green” is found on the branding label, tongue and embroidered heel tab with a white midsole and gray rubber outsole to complete the look.Mark your calendar for the Nike SB Dunk Low “Chlorophyll” set to release some time in November at select retailers and via Nike for $100 USD.For more sneaker news, here’s the colorway info for the rumored Union x Air Jordan 2 collab that recently surfaced.
