Kiko Kostadinov Switches Gears With the Release of Its Maiden High Boot

Kiko Kostadinov’s in-line footwear has been spiraling into a world of its own, and now the designer has released his latest offering — the Maiden High Boot.Looking not too dissimilar to pair of motorbike boots, the Maiden features a multi-material construction that sees Raw Terrain rubber used on the base, foot, and sole unit alongside leather and nylon for the shaft. By using rubber as tough and rugged as this, Kostadinov’s design ensures that you’ll be able to tackle every type of terrain and the boots will see little impact as you wear them from season to season. As touched upon, leather and nylon come together to form the shaft that runs up the leg to knee height. Leather constructs the front section, wearing a full-length front-placed zipper that allows you to put the boots on easier, while the brown nylon works the back section and comes pinched at the calf and cuffed on the opening of the boot. The Maiden is a deviation from what we’ve previously seen from Kostadinov. In recent seasons, the designer has played with amphibious-looking shapes to create pairs such as the Jehtra and Harkman, but for the Maiden, the aesthetic is altogether far more technical, tactile, and akin to the aesthetic applied in his CamperLab collaborations.Kiko Kostadinov’s Maiden High Boot can be seen above and bought from retailers including Très Bien now, where it costs $845 USD.In case you missed it, here’s an official look at the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Foamposite One.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
