Bricks & Wood x New Balance 9060 Receives an Official Release Date

After weeks’ worth of teasers, New Balance and Bricks & Wood have shared the official release date for their second collaboration: the Bricks & Wood x New Balance 9060 “Nothing Changed But the Address.” The shoe, which follows the two brands’ debut collaboration in 2021, will first release at a Bricks & Woods pop-up in Paris on January 19 before receiving a global release on January 30.Earlier this week, Bricks & Woods owner and co-founder Kacey Lynch took to Instagram to reveal the design’s personal inspiration: his grandmother’s house. Under its fitting moniker, “Nothing Changed But the Address,” the shoe intends to remind its wearer of where they came from. “Please remember that no matter how far you go, it’s just a change of address. Nothing about you changes,” Lynch said in a statement. In terms of its design, the silhouette lets a cool-grey mesh and premium suede mingle across its upper construction, while unique fuzzy laces snake up its center. Molded midsoles add a certain flair with bright green pods and cream styling. In a touching tribute, the green tones on the NB 9060’s sole reference the lawn outside of Lynch’s childhood home, pictured above. The Bricks & Wood x New Balance 9060 will launch exclusively at PaperBoy in Paris on January 19 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT, during a public event. The collaborative silhouette will then become available in the U.S. on Bricks & Wood’s website and during pop-up events in New York City and Los Angeles on January 23 and 28, respectively. Finally, the NB 9060 will launch globally on New Balance’s website on January 30.Take a look at the Bricks & Wood x New Balance 9060 in the gallery above. In more footwear news, Blackstock & Weber dipped its Ellis Penny Loafer in buttery chocolate.

Nicole McLaughlin’s Diemme Collaboration Features Detachable Uppers That Turn Into Bags

Following her ultra-functional collaboration with Reebok, recognized designer Nicole McLaughlin is now teaming up with Diemme for a utilitarian footwear collab that continues her upcycling journey. McLaughlin has made a name for herself through her innovative format of repurposing everyday household staples, such as turning candy pouches into shorts or tennis balls into oven mittens. The inventive creative continues her practice alongside Diemme by making the brand’s Maggiore silhouette her own with forgotten materials found in Diemme’s footwear factories. Arriving with one base and three detachable uppers, the concealed layer is a simple suede mule that boasts a wavy linear pattern throughout. Tonal zippers run through the mudguards and into the medials, allowing the upper half to be attached easily. The collaborative release comes equipped with blue, beige, and green uppers made from waterproof ripstop designed to be completely removable. These convert into serviceable bags to carry your personal items everywhere you go. Each textile features metallic clasps and toggles in place of traditional laces, while additional knobs adorn the rears for a smooth ride. Take a closer look at Nicole McLaughlin’s Diemme Maggiore at every stage in the gallery above. The collaboration will be available to purchase on January 18 via the Diemme website. Elsewhere in footwear, Awake NY and ASICS debut the brand-new GEL-NYC with two colorful collaborations.

Clints’ New Stomper Silhouette Sits Pretty in Pink, Orange, Green, and More

Manchester-residing streetwear label Clints has just presented its latest footwear release: the all-new Stomper silhouette.Clints has come on leaps and bounds since it was featured on Hypebeast’s “Brands to Put On Your Radar” list last year. For example, Junior Clints’ label opened its first-ever flagship store in the heart of Manchester, all while supplying various Stepper sneaker drops, a revitalized edition of its TRL silhouette, and seasonal apparel offerings. As a brand that started as a footwear label — before it eventually moved into apparel — it’s important for Clints to stick to its roots with unique designs that bring a breath of fresh air to the sneaker community. This was seen perfectly with its Patta-co-signed Stepper silhouette, and this new Stomper boot is more of the same with pragmatic undertones and a mix of playful Y2K-esque influence. The Stomper holds similarities to the classic Timberland six-inch boot, with leather paneled overlays around the ankles, while its rubber sole — which is coated in a blacked-out hue — features a grippy tread that’s designed to withstand slippery surfaces. Available in a selection of colorways from vibrant pink, orange, purple, and green, to more understated versions in grey and black, the Stomper is also complemented by double-stitched Clints branding along the lateral side. You can have a closer look at the latest Stomper pack from Clints above and be sure to keep an eye on the brand’s official Instagram page for further release details. In other footwear news, take a look at the latest Ellis Penny Loafer from Blackstock & Webber.
