Corduroy Lands on the Nike Air Max 97

In Nike’s year of anniversaries, including the brand’s historic 50th year of business, silhouettes such as the Air Force 1 and Air Max 97 have been celebrated throughout 2022. In continuation of this, the Swoosh has prepared yet another look for the Air Max 97. The Japanese bullet train-inspired sneaker has seen lots of love this year with key releases involving classic colorways and a collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS.This time around, Nike has outfitted the Air Max 97 in a mixed material look that features corduroy at the mudguard. Designed for the women’s sportswear division, this colorway begins with a white Air-infused sole unit and a white mesh base at the upper that joins fall-ready accents. Beginning with the aforementioned mudguard, a brown corduroy joins the look with matching Swooshes and pull tabs. A darker shade of brown then appears on the layer above the mudguard with the following layer carrying a soft lime green that also appears on the lacing system, completing the look.Currently, Nike has yet to share any release information regarding this brown corduroy women’s colorway of the Air Max 97. Expect it to hit shelves in the coming months via Nike and select retailers. For more in the world of footwear, check out the Nike Air Kukini in a fall-ready “Pilgrim” colorway.

Take a Trip Down Memory Lane With adidas’ Predator Edge 94+

adidas Football has just presented its latest iteration of its Predator Edge 94+ and it’s one of the sportswear giant’s cleanest designs yet. The Predator football boot is one of the Three Stripes’ most iconic silhouettes, sported by iconic players such as David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, and Raúl throughout the late ’90s and early 2000s. Since then, the boot has undergone a melange of updates, such as the “Royal Blue” Archival Predator Mania FG in 2020, to the more recent “White Spark” pack. Now, adidas is diving deep into its iconic archives and is revitalizing a limited edition boot that pays homage to its OG Predator Edge counterpart from the 1994 World Cup. The leather football boot features white Three Stripe branding on the rear and also includes rough, ball-sticking technology on the upper, allowing players to gain more control of the ball when playing at high speeds. As a whole, the Predator Edge+ mirrors the 1994 colorway and features speckles of red that complement the customary Predator branding. Underneath, a modern Predator Edge split outsole completes the design with a hard-hitting Power Facet that gives added grip and easy mobility when changing directions quickly. You can take a closer look at the new Predator Edge 94+ above and it’s available now on the official adidas website and with select retailers. In other news, take a look at the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Gym Red.”
