Sneaker reselling is a multi-billion dollar industry, rife with backdoor deals, bots, and oneupmanship. Here to change the lucrative and elusive game is Another Lane, a new Black-owned sneaker reselling marketplace that puts community first.Run and founded by the husband and wife duo Chad and Adena Jones, Another Lane aims to fight the gentrification in the sneaker resell market. Speaking to Bloomberg, Adena said, “Our voices were what created this space… To have our voices and our faces missing from certain spaces is just too much.”What Adena is talking about is how the sneaker industry owes so much to Black culture, yet the industry is predominantly run by white males. Another Lane’s business model is empowered by the message of reclaiming its space in the scene, and it aims to do so by using community and togetherness at the forefront of its model. For example, while the likes of eBay, GOAT and StockX are based on anonymous profiles, Another Lane encourages users to communicate with one another. You can sign up and chat with the seller, and the images are also supplied by the seller in question. To gain a membership, newcomers must be vetted and need to supply references before they’re accepted, and unlike other platforms, most of the shoes here aren’t deadstock.Head over to Another Lane’s website to find out more about how it works and to sign up for yourself. In case you missed it, here are this week’s biggest footwear drops.

Offspring Presents Lush Suede-Covered Converse Chuck 70 “The Flip” Pack
One of the UK’s leading sneaker stores Offspring is back yet again with another Converse collaboration, this time around taking the chance to “Flip” its collaborative Chuck 70 pairs from 2019.As such, “The Flip” pack presents a Chuck 70 Low and Chuck 70 High in cream suede and black suede respectively — reversing what was found in the 2019 collaboration. However, much more has been done than just swapping the colorways over.Releasing in honor of its fond Offspring Community, the pairs feature the “Offspring Community HQ” stamp printed around the perimeter of both shoes’ milky semi-translucent midsoles. Elsewhere, we find lightning bolt details carried over from the previous pairs, only updated. Now, the one on the vamp is embroidered, the ones that were on the sidewall are gone in favor of a larger outsole lightning bolt, and the laces that are branded with Converse’s moniker and the lightning bolt motif still remain.Rounding out both pairs are details such as the Offspring mascot that surrounds the very top eyelet, the same mascot appearing on the inner side of the tongue, and the removable patch on the medial panel. The low is priced at £79.99 GBP while the high will retail for £84.99 GBP (approx. $109 USD — $117 USD USD), and both will be available to purchase from select Offspring stores and on its website from April 15.In case you missed it, here is your best look yet at the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Sail.”
Karhu’s “All Around” Pack Pays Homage to the Decathlon
The Decathlon is a track and field event comprising ten disciplines set across two days. In the 1920s, Karhu became an official equipment partner to the Olympic Games, providing javelins, discuses and shot puts for the event.Nearly one hundred years on — and in an Olympic year — Karhu is paying homage to the event, with its “All Around” sneaker pack. Consisting of the Fusion 2.0, Legacy 96, Aria 95 and Synchron Classic, the pack will be split — like the event — into two launch days.Showcased with a lookbook led by creative lead Cris Kuhlen and photographer Taufiq Hosen, the pair have created images that shadow effects of the first five disciplines of the Decathlon. With the first drop set to launch on April 9, the “All Around” pack will be available from the Karhu webstore, as well as Karhu Helsinki and Karhu’s pop-up in Verona. In other news, here’s an official look at adidas’ upcoming YEEZY SLIDE “Core”.
