New Balance’s 57/40 stands alongside other models like the 327 and 237 as a retro-tinged design that reworks classic performance footwear for the lifestyle market. Though it debuted recently — in January, to be specific — it’s already been collaborated on by atmos, mita x WHIZ LIMITED and N. HOOLYWOOD and done up in pink for Valentine’s Day. Now, it’s keeping the ball rolling with a familiar all-gray colorway for women, a staple NB palette that’s used on everything from the 574 to the 992 and 990v5.Uppers mix various shades of gray that range from sandy to steely, and combine a veritable plethora of different materials as well. Perforated nubuck appears on the toeboxes and collars, shaggy suedes on the toe caps and heels, shorthair suede on the heel clip and eyestays and leather on midfoot and mudguard alike. Branding is handled by large white N midfoot logos, rimmed in silver. “The intelligent choice” branding is hidden under white laces on the tongue tag. Down below, double-stacked sail midsoles sit atop black outsoles to round off the look. This gray New Balance 57/40 is available now via retailers like Goodhood, and is priced at $120 USD.For more from New Balance, take a look at the 327 in new “Natural Indigo” and “Sour Grape” makeups.

The New Balance 327 Releases in Colorful “Natural Indigo” and “Sour Grape” Makeups
New Balance is ramping its popular 327 up for the summer with two new color schemes: “Natural Indigo” and “Sour Grape.” Both fresh makeups of the ’70s-inspired runner offer bold colorblocking and appealing material contrast, making for worthy additions to the NB lifestyle canon.”Natural Indigo” mixes rich dark blue overlays with a golden-brown base tone dubbed “Faded Workwear,” a nod to well-loved Carhartt and Ben Davis jackets. Branding is handled by a large red N on the lateral quarter and a small sail New Balance spellout on the medial heel. On the other hand, “Sour Grape” places its eponymous tone on the base layer and brings an olive shade dubbed “Bleached Lime Glo” to the overlays for a palette somewhat reminiscent of past Stray Rats x New Balance collaborations. The lateral side’s N is presented in a light lime shade, the medial side’s New Balance spellout in black. Each pair is built from a combination of ripstop mesh and suede and is completed by sail midsoles plus signature nubbed black rubber outsoles. The New Balance 327 “Natural Indigo” and “Sour Grape” are both available now via the New Balance webstore. The MSRP for each is set at $90 USD.For more footwear news, take a look at the 327’s “Sea Salt/Black” and “Magnet/Team Red” colorways.
adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “MX Rock” is Revealed
Of all the YEEZY silhouettes that Kanye West and adidas have cooked up since kicking off its partnership back in 2015, none have been as omnipresent as the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2. In recent memory, the mainstay silhouette has shown off its forthcoming “Bone/Blue” and “Mono Mist” colorways, and now it’s taking a moment to reveal one of its Fall makeups: the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “MX Rock”.While the overall shape and materials of the sneaker are kept consistent, this particular variation kicks its styling up a notch by applying marbled patterns throughout its PrimeKnit base — a design element recently utilized on the YEEZY FOAM RNNR “MXT Moon Grey”. A trio of earthy tones are blended up together to form the base including that of a brown, dark gray and a muted navy. Its post-dyed monofilament side stripes are injected with stark black filling, and the liners and laces are both dyed with a muted brown hue. Ribbed midsoles and treading proceed along with the pair’s darker motif and each come outfitted with more brown pigmentation. An official drop date hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s likely that adidas and select retailers will release this September for the usual $220 USD price point. For more footwear news, the YEEZY FOAM RNNR was recently unveiled in “Mineral Blue”.
