The Nike Air Max 1 G “White/Black” Keeps Things Simple

Nike has just provided a first glimpse of its revitalized Air Max 1 G in a third colorway, as it arrives this time in a prim “White/Black” ensemble. The brand has certainly produced some out there versions of its Air Max Golf series in recent years, the “Safari Pack” being a prime example, but with the AM1 it’s adopting a more conservative approach to start out.The simple white and black color scheme highlights what Air Max fans will be most excited about with this shoe: the return of the “Big Bubble” Air Max unit. Apart from that, the shoe is treated with a black mudguard and Swoosh, and a white quarter section and mesh toe box. The only sign of golf-specific branding arrives on the insoles, but aside from that there’s not much to distinguish from the lifestyle version.Anyone interested in copping will have to wait for a release date, but something within the next few months is likely. In other golf related news, Malbon linked up with adidas for the first time to provide a spin on the outdoorsy adicross range.

On-Foot Look at the Air Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green”

Update: On-foot images of the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” have surfaced via early pair seller Yankee Kicks. At the time of writing, there’s still no word from Nike on a release date — and the “Lucky Green” was not included in Jordan Brand’s Spring 2023 Air Jordan collection, revealed officially in December — but if early reports stay true, the “Lucky Green” will touch down on April 15 for $170 USD. Read the original story below for more info on the colorway’s history, inspiration and differences from its original release.Update: Following an early preview of the pair, a detailed breakdown of the Air Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green” has now been shared. A release date of April 15 remains expected, however, stay tuned for official information and imagery from Nike and check out the full story below.Original Story: If you’ve paid attention to the evolution of Jordan Brand and its retro category, then you’ve noticed that it has a cyclical nature to it. Its expansive array of classic colorways is released over and over again to satisfy the older sneakerheads and introduce classics to newer ones. In 2023, we can expect to see MJ’s imprint bring back some gems, one being the Air Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green” that was originally launched in 2009 as part of a “DMP” Pack. The color palette on this reissue is a nod to the Boston Celtics — one of Jordan and the Bulls’ rivals in the Jordan Brand ’90s. Its titular shade reflects the Eastern Conference squad’s main tone and comes pronounced atop the flaps, laces and lower heel overlays. The popularized “Black Toe” color blocking that features solid black Swooshes, and overlays set against angelic quarters and toe boxes is also implemented. The main difference with this forthcoming installment is that the tongue branding has been modified. Instead of Jumpman logos, the tongues are embellished with the more favored Nike Air branding. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Long7ze (@long7ze)Right now, these have their eyes set to drop in the Spring on April 15, 2023, but Nike hasn’t confirmed this date just yet.For other news, an Air Jordan 1 “Laney” colorway has been unveiled.
