The Brain Dead x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 Launches Next Week

Update: Following an early preview of the green/yellow/red pair, Brain Dead has officially announced the launch of its ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 collaboration. Starring an unseen purple and green colorway, the two looks are set to launch in Paris for Fashion Week on January 21 with a general release taking place on January 24 online and in stores. View this post on InstagramA post shared by @wearebraindeadOriginal Story: If there ever was a techno-futuristic sorbet of a shoe, it would likely be the Brain Dead x ASICS ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9. Always ones to push boundaries, Brain Dead bypasses any semblance of a neutral kick to present a flashy runner that will make a statement with every wear.Colorful and chaotic, the sneaker is dressed down in a medley of punchy pinks and maroon across the upper, along with fluorescent orange along the heel counter and toe-box. Balancing out the red-dominant pastiche are hits of mint on the base and an olive midsole and outsole. Additional highlights include the Brain Dead and ASICS co-branding on the rubber tongue label and heel, as well as obsidian rope laces.Appearing in a number of collaborations as of late, from Florence Tétier to Cecilie Bahnsen, Brain Dead’s iteration of the GEL-Nimbus 9 stands out amongst the pack for its uncompromising approach to color. Keep your eyes peeled as more information regarding the price and release date are revealed in the coming weeks. Elsewhere, Gal Gadot spotlights RHU multicolor running trainers.

Official Images Of the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour AJ3 “Racer Blue”

Update: Official images of Nike’s Zoom Vapor Tour AJ3 in “Racer Blue” have been revealed. NikeCourt’s most well-known performance silhouette due to its former association with Roger Federer and its swath of Air Jordan 3-inspired collaborations, the Zoom Vapor Tour AJ3 is a high-performance tennis shoe with more than a little classic hoops flair and one key difference from its predecessors: no “RF” logo, as Federer has been an On athlete since 2019 (he’s also an investor in the company) and finished his career playing in his signature THE ROGER PRO. An exact release date for this “Racer Blue” colorway has yet to be revealed, but it should drop in the coming months. Check out the official images above and read the original story below for more info.Original Story: 2022 marked the conclusion of Roger Federer’s illustrious tennis career. And while we won’t get to witness his magic on the court, his legacy will continue to be honored through his physical Nike products, one being his Zoom Vapor 9 Tour AJ3 that is expected to see a reissue in 2023. Early images of the model’s “Royal Blue” colorway have surfaced ahead of their official release. When Federer was a member of the Swoosh family in 2017, the tennis icon reimagined his silhouette in palettes that mimicked classic Air Jordan 3 colorways like the “White Cement,” “Black Cement” and “Fire Red.” While it doesn’t incorporate any hints of red, this newly-leaked variation gives a subtle nod to the Tinker Hatfield-designed retro’s “True Blue” makeup. Premium white tumbled leather forms the upper’s construction while notes of “Royal Blue” pop up across the eyelets, tongue’s Jordan logos, interior liners and Nike Air branding that adorns the heels. Classic “Cement Grey” overlays channel Jordan’s throwback kicks and arrive atop the toe tips and heels. No release date has been announced just yet, but you can likely find these releasing in the coming months.
