As anime and manga collaborations become increasingly prominent, whether it be via the runway or exciting sneaker collaborations, more and more franchises are offered the opportunity to shine. While the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is no stranger to thematic releases with brands, it is now taking things to the next level with adidas Originals. Partnering for the first time, the duo has prepared four Yu-Gi-Oh!-themed footwear options. For this collection, adidas has introduced its new ADI2000 sneaker in two looks alongside two new colorways on the familiar Reptossage slide. All four feature either Yugi Mutou or Seto Kaiba with their respective summons of the Dark Magician or Blue Eyes White Dragon. Both ADI2000 pairs begin with a white leather base backed by light blue accents on the “Seto Kaiba” colorway and lavender hits on the “Yugi Mutou” look. Each also carry graphics of their summons on the lateral, combining with additional thematic detailing throughout, including on the custom shoebox. As for the slides, the Reptossage favors a black and purple with Yugi Mutou and the Dark Magician on its straps that pairs with an accompanying black and blue slide featuring Seto Kaiba and Blue Eyes White Dragon on its straps.Release for the Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas footwear collection is expected to take place in the coming months via adidas and select retailers worldwide. In other footwear news, restocks of the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Flax” and “Bone” are set to take place at the end of the month.

Palm Angels Announces Its Three-Piece Collaboration With Vault by Vans
Know for being the more elevated category within the variety of Vans’ sub-labels, Vault by Vans has captured the hearts of many over the course of the year for its cornucopia of striking collaborations. Throughout 2022, we’ve seen the imprint link with the likes of Brain Dead and CDG for new collections, and now it’s welcoming Palm Angels to join in on the action. The contemporary streetwear brand has prepared luxe takes of the Sk8-Hi VLT LX, Sk8- Mid VLT LX and the Old Skool LX, all of which nod to the freedom and individuality that’s found in skate culture. Each installment in this collection comes prepared with similar design features such as the off-white canvas uppers, the translucent midsole pieces tinted in brown as well as the Palm Angels branding that laid out across the sides that reimagine the traditional jazz stripes. Palm Angels DNA is infused into the suede materials that make up the toe boxes as the Sk8-Hi is fashioned with red, the Sk8-Mid is styled in black and the Old Skools are crafted with an earthy gray.“Palm Angels started with a photography book and Vans was already there. I took a picture of a guy skating in Venice beach, wearing the most vintage Vans Sk8-Hi I had ever seen and since then, the idea of Palm Angels collaborating with Vans has always been in my mind,” says Francesco Ragazzi, founder and Creative Director of Palm Angels. It’s now finally reality. With this collection, I wanted to recreate exactly that same image: few models with a vintage feeling and a contemporary take.”The Palm Angels x Vault by Vans collection is launching on September 27 exclusively on Palm Angels and in selected Palm Angels stores worldwide. For other news, check out Slam Jam’s recent Vans Sk8-Hi collaboration.
Restock Date Announced: adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Flax” and “Bone”
Ye may have had very loud (and extremely public) gripes with adidas over the past few months, but the tumultuous partnership is rolling right along with drops aplenty — the latest of which is the return of the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Flax” and the Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 “Bone.” First seen in 2020, the “Flax” was one-third of a region-exclusive pack alongside the 350 V2’s “Tail Light” and “Earth” colorways. Its first drop was only available in Asia and Africa, but this time around it’s set for a global arrival. On the other hand, the “Bone” was debuted in March of this year. Its first release was a global drop, but now it’ll be restocking exclusively in Europe. The “Flax” is completely covered in, well, various tones of flax, a pale yellowish-grey shade. Apart from its true-to-name color scheme, it features familiar details like a fully knit upper, a semi-translucent post-dyed monofilament side stripe with a heel tab and a bulbous midsole that’s crammed full of BOOST cushioning. The “Bone” features an identical build to the “Flax,” but swaps out the earthy shades in favor of an angelic white that’s practically begging to be dirtied with heavy wear.Expect both of these adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 colorways to touch down on the adidas webstore come September 30. Each pair will be priced at $230 USD.If you’re in the mood for further Ye shenanigans, check out a professional lawyer’s explanation of his beefs with GAP and adidas — and watch him admit that Sway did, in fact, have the answers.
