As anime and manga collaborations become increasingly prominent, whether it be via the runway or exciting sneaker collaborations, more and more franchises are offered the opportunity to shine. While the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is no stranger to thematic releases with brands, it is now taking things to the next level with adidas Originals. Partnering for the first time, the duo has prepared four Yu-Gi-Oh!-themed footwear options.For this collection, adidas has introduced its new ADI2000 sneaker in two looks alongside two new colorways on the familiar Reptossage slide. All four feature either Yugi Mutou or Seto Kaiba with their respective summons of the Dark Magician or Blue Eyes White Dragon. Both ADI2000 pairs begin with a white leather base backed by light blue accents on the “Seto Kaiba” colorway and lavender hits on the “Yugi Mutou” look. Each also carry graphics of their summons on the lateral, combining with additional thematic detailing throughout, including on the custom shoebox. As for the slides, the Reptossage favors a black and purple with Yugi Mutou and the Dark Magician on its straps that pairs with an accompanying black and blue slide featuring Seto Kaiba and Blue Eyes White Dragon on its straps.Release for the Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas footwear collection is expected to take place in the coming months via adidas and select retailers worldwide.In other footwear news, restocks of the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Flax” and “Bone” are set to take place at the end of the month.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
