Nike has made it clear that the Dunk is here to stay. The sportswear giant has supplied wearers with one colorway after another and is persistent in its journey of shelf domination. A few palettes have already become classic in the eyes of Nike, the most notable being the simplistic “Panda” rendition. Its black and white tones were previously inverted on the Dunk Low, featuring dominant white overlays and black sidenotes. Now, the “Reverse Panda” colorway hits the silhouette’s high-top sibling, donning wacky decor in a cut-out fashion. Clean white leather overlays are spread throughout, while the outer ankle flaps see a rectangular incision alongside ragged suede heel counters that reveal a zebra-like pattern. Crisp Swooshes extend onto the medials, transforming the tips into a gilded fuzzy textile that lands on a contrasting mesh bed. Black toe boxes are almost left untouched, excluding forefoot perforations that connect to a tonal paint-splattered opening. The New Balance 550 is arguably the breakout sneaker of the year, having quickly expanded upon its classic two-tone lineup with experimental colorways and collaborations. The latest offerings call back to the silhouette’s ’80s basketball roots with two Los Angeles Lakers-inspired gold and purple-toned colorways.The two new offerings are found in a mix of smooth and perforated leather uppers and padded mesh collars with open-mesh tongue tabs arriving as an unconventional touch. Common themes for the sneakers include outlined N-logos across the sides, colored “550” embroidery, and light grey hits scattered throughout. After the release of the Jordan Zion 2 “Voodoo,” we now have an official look at the Zion Williamson’s x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo.” Continuing the New Orleans Pelicans superstar’s partnership with Jordan Brand, the shoe continues the “Flax/Muslin, Fauna Brown/Oil Green/Sesame/Moon Fossil” color scheme.The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo” features patchwork uppers constructed of hemp, canvas, and suede panel. Accenting on the uppers comes in the form of exposed stitching, embroidered crosses at the toe box region, midfoot Swooshes, backward mini Swooshes, flipped tongue tags and Wings motifs, and specially printed insoles. Additional detailing comes in the form of rope laces and mismatched sockliners.
