WNBA star Elena Delle Donne is officially releasing her first signature shoe, the Nike Air Deldon. The Washington Mystics forward is considered one of the greatest WNBA players in the history of the sport and is sure to be a future Basketball Hall-of-Famer. Her influence goes beyond the court as an avid supporter for the LGBTQIA+ and physically challenged community. Elle Donne’s first signature shoe uses Nike’s Flyease system that allows easy entry for wearers. It was important for Delle Donne to design a shoe that was inclusive for those who struggle with putting on shoes due to physical inhibitions. Her sister Lizzie was born with cerebral palsy and autism and has been an inspiration for the ease of wear designs. For additional comfort and responsiveness, Air Deldon uses the Air Strobel unit which spans across the entire foot-bed. Her logo is embroidered on the lockdown tabs at the ankle while her initials “EDD” is seen on the small forefoot flap. The Nike Air Deldon is expected to release in September 2022 for $120 USD at select retailers and online at Nike.Elsewhere in footwear, the Nike Dunk High draws inspiration from AMBUSH’s “Deep Royal Blue” release.

Tan and Red Collide on this Split-Colored Air Jordan 1 Mid
Jordan Brand is always looking for new ways to approach its classic silhouettes. Be it with modifying the construction of the shoe or simply refreshing it with a fresh colorway, there’s always something new on the way for its iconic looks. In recent years, one new approach has been a split-colored look on the Air Jordan 1. Following the Air Jordan 1 Mid’s split “Invert” colorway which sported black and white, the design now is being outfitted with a “Beach” and “Cherrywood Red” color palette.Material-wise, the Air Jordan 1 Mid sticks to its roots with an all-leather upper while traditional branding elements include Swooshes on each side, the Wings logo on the lateral collar and Jumpman logo on the tongue. As for the colorful arrangement of this pair, the lateral favors a “Beach” base with “Cherrywood Red” on the overlays and Swoosh while the medial inverts this color selection. Lastly, a “Sail” midsole and “Cherrywood Red” rubber outsole combine with “Beach” laces to complete this bold look.Nike has yet to confirm a release date for this split-colored Air Jordan 1 Mid. However, expect it to hit shelves via the Swoosh and select retailers later this year at a price of $135 USD.Elsewhere in the world of footwear, the Air Jordan 1 High Stash is returning with its six pockets in a “White” colorway.
