ASICS has delved deep into its brand archive to update its GEL-Quantum 180 silhouette and present it in two monochromatic colorways.The Japanese footwear label — who recently linked up with Kassl Editions to raise money for the mental health charity Mind — takes notes from its 1990s GEL-Mai silhouette to introduce the all-new GEL-QUANTUM 180 RE.Arriving in two crisp colorways of “Glacier Grey” and “Carrier Grey”, the sneaker has been updated for ease of convenience and now houses the heritage runner’s lacing system and toggled speed laces. The midsole is the same as the traditional GEL-QUANTUM 180 and sits beneath a breathable mesh and leather upper, which is decorated with branding towards the heel.Both iterations of the ASICS GEL-Quantum 180 RE are set to drop on February 1 via the ASICS webstore, retailing at £120 (approximately $160 USD).In other footwear news, On has dropped its night-ready Cloudultra “Nite” colorway.

Swiss label On has continued to add to its running-focused stable of footwear with the all-new Clouldultra Nite. Mixing the brand’s propriety technology with new design touches, the silhouette is designed for those who run after dark.The stand out feature is a reflective strip around the upper, which takes inspiration from the way a fox’s eyes reflect its surrounding. When it hits light, this opalescent strip reflects a rainbow of colors. Alongside the opalescent detailing, the Cloudultra Nite’s dual-layer mesh upper is dressed in a sleek black colorway.Another key feature of the shoe is its double layer of Helion superfoam CloudTec technology, which offers extra cushioning and comfort. This midsole unit is combined with Missiongrip outsole for more traction, and a FlipRelease tool that can make more room for the wearer’s foot.The Cloudultra Nite is available now from the On web store and via select retailers.In other footwear news, Scottish retailer HANON recently debuted a new collaboration with POD.
