Nike Celebrates Its Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Sneaker With a 2022 Comeback

Nike’s Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low sneaker gears up for a 2022 return, as it celebrates 20 years in the game. Scheduled to make a comeback appearance in the spring, the retro shoe is still as recognizable as its predecessor with its red, black and white cross-color leather upper. The mid-outer and inner sides form a two-panel embossed “Air Jordan Wing” logo in white, while the toe box is draped in red with a contrasting black outline. The laces, tongue and collar are all black, while the backstay and back heel are both red with the “Jumpman” decal affixed to a partially red midsole. The outsole is all red, with an inter-spliced yellow gum sole, while a 3/4 portion of the midsole is white and rounded off with a white stay stitch. Forthcoming details and pricing on these throwback J’s should become available on Nike’s website. In other footwear news, Dwayne Wade and Li-Ning’s WOW brand drops its new “Futuristic” Essence 2 sneaker.

Official Look at the Union x Nike Dunk Low “Passport Pack” in “Midnight Navy”

A sizable amount of sneaker collaborations are expected to be pumped out from Union LA in 2022, one of which is the Union x Nike Dunk Low “Passport Pack” in its “Midnight Navy” colorway. Described by the SoCal-based imprint as “Your ticket to the world” in its recent campaign video, the shoes have now surfaced by way of official imagery.Everything from the actual shoes themselves to the packaging is meticulously thought out and aligns with elements of flight and travel. The entire base layer is covered with a white grid pattern and comes paired with “Midnight Blue” overlays, “Marine Minuit” toe boxes, quarters and collars as well as Swooshes that are submerged in a metallic silver. Branding from the streetwear boutique arrives in various spots across the upper including the lateral heels and left insoles, both being adorned with its signature Frontman logo as well as the mid-foot which has a yellow “UN/LA” tag attached to it. The color palette of these likely speaks to New York City as its hues can be compared to the city’s MTA subway system and the iconic Statue of Liberty. Moreover, the shoe box and wrapping paper are fitted with all-over print and come packed with design details influenced by boarding passes and flight numbers. You can expect the collaboration to release sometime within the coming weeks via Union. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Union Los Angeles (@unionlosangeles)Elsewhere in sneakers, UNO’s Nike Air Force 1 collaboration is slated to drop soon.
