White Mountatineering Announces a Duo of Mizuno Wave Prophecy 10 Collaborations
After connecting with UNIQLO for a Fall/Winter-ready apparel capsule collection and Danner for a two-piece Willamette Valley launch, White Mountaineering is further broadening its footwear initiatives via a collaboration with Mizuno to ring in 2022 the right way. The two parties have cooked up a duo of Wave Prophecy 10 colorways, both of which are expressive of the Japanese imprint’s minimalistic design language. For each take in this assemblage, Yosuke Aizawa calls upon his signature monotone and sophisticated design elements and slaps them onto the modern day runner. The first offering is done up with a stealthy theme. Synthetic uppers are filled in with a black backdrop and is styled with wavy design lines across the side walls and Mizuno’s signature emblem on the quarters, all of which contrast with a muted gray. White Mountaineering branding is dropped off onto the collars and tongue tabs, the former of which pops out in white while the latter is printed in dark gray. Aggressive sole units are mostly colored with black but feature angelic speckles in the forefoot and white interiors on the back ends. Its release sibling is presented with a much brighter-toned arrangement. A charcoal grey hue kicks things off on the toe box, bleeds into the top half of the lateral and medial panels and gradients into white just before the midsoles. Various shades of gray also pop up on the collars and patent leather heels while the laces contrast with white to achieve a snowy mountain-inspired aesthetic. The hollowed out bottoms carry the same set of hues as the upper as it features speckled wallpapers and layers of white and gray sole pieces. If interested, you can find White Mountaineering dropping these on January 8 for ¥29,700 (approx. $258 USD) .Looking for more news?
