Nike has gotten extra experimental with its Waffle One silhouette all-summer long as its been seen with earth-friendly Crater soles and whipped up in a retro color palette inspired by the Swoosh’s ACG line. And now, the lifestyle model has appeared in a playful “Hyper Pink/University Red” makeover that makes use of vivid color-blocking for its base layer and neutral tones for its bottom half.See-through mesh is the most prominent material on this iteration’s upper, and it’s coated in “Hyper Pink.” Just beside this comes suede overlays that are planted onto the throat, forefoot and heels, all of which are submerged in a “University Red” hue along with “Hyper Crimson” bursts that are found on the Swooshes, exposed stitchings on the lower throat and the interior lining. Small notes of purple and yellow also get brought in, the former being slapped onto the Swooshes atop the forefoot and heels while the latter makes its presence felt on the laces. Midsole components split between beige panels and a triple-stacked “Racer Blue” heel counter while the treading is predominantly supplied with a caramel-like hue. These Waffle Ones are available right now via Nike for $100 USD.In case you missed it, Nike has honored Cristiano Ronaldo’s goalscoring record with a celebratory pitch.

Roscomar Utilizes Plant-Based and Recycled Materials for Second Collection
Roscomar has returned with another sustainable-focused sneaker collection. The new capsule features a range of silhouettes, each of which is constructed from vegan, recycled or organic materials, chosen to lower the cradle-to-cradle carbon footprint of each sneaker.Arguably the stand-out in this collection is the Court 50/50 Vegan, described as Roscomar’s most sustainable shoe to date. The cradle-to-cradle carbon footprint is less than half that of average sneakers, with plant-based and recycled materials such as Seaqual — a high-quality yarn produced using post-consumer marine plastic waste — used in its construction.Elsewhere in the capsule, the Court Recycled Leather is produced using leather scraps that have been upcycled from glove manufacturing cut offs, while the Court 50/50 mixes a Seaqual lining with uppers produced partly from ECONYL (a regenerated nylon made from waste) and certified LWG leather. All of these silhouettes feature Roscomar’s signature natural and recycled rubber outsoles and midsoles constructed from sugarcane and EVA. Additionally, the carbon footprint data of each sneaker is published on the inside of the tongue.Take a look at the second Roscomar collection in the gallery above, with the sneakers now available from Browns and other select retailers. In related news, Champion recently revealed its sustainable new “Eco Future” collection.
