This KANGHYUK x Reebok Classic Leather SRS Is Constructed from Recycled Airbags

KANGHYUK and Reebok have teamed up for a special take on the Classic Leather, one that’s constructed entirely of recycled airbags and industrial polyamide. Made in partnership with Dover Street Market London, the shoes are limited to a scant 25 pairs and are equal parts art project, sustainability experiment and unparalleled take on a famed silhouette. The KANGHYUK x Reebok Classic Leather’s ultra-thin upper is dressed entirely in red, and held together by a cacophony of tonal seams plus stacked pieces. Though it’s devoid of its standard Reebok text hits, there are plenty of other Classic Leather signifiers like the Vector logo on the quarter panel, an unadorned midfoot window and a wide toebox with two lines of perforations. Collars are held together by a thick line of stitching, and a jersey-like mesh material lines the inside. Down below, red EVA foam midsoles work with red rubber outsoles to round off the look. This sustainability-first extra materials project isn’t the first effort between KANGHYUK, Reebok and Dover Street Market’s London branch. 2020 saw a 50-pair run of an airbag-built take on the Zig Kinetica, while KANGHYUK and Reebok also recently opened pre-orders for their upcoming Premier Road Modern Mid. Expect the KANGHYUK x Reebok Classic Leather SRS to release exclusively at Dover Street Market London come August 6. Each pair is priced at $340 USD.For more news on upcoming sneaker releases, take a look at the latest installment of HYPEBEAST’s weekly Best Footwear Drops list.

Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Clothing and PUMA Present “The Miami Story” Collection

Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Clothing and PUMA have teamed up for the second time in 2021 to create a new collection dubbed “The Miami Story.” The first in a forthcoming series of capsules inspired by Hussle’s friendship with stylist Groovey Lew and the unique looks they’d create together, “The Miami Story” draws its crisp and cool color palette from Miami’s blue waters and sandy beaches.Five items are included in the offering, namely co-branded shirts, blue Bermuda shorts and blue pants plus an all-white take on the Future Rider sneaker. As can be seen in the collection’s lookbook photos — which star India Love and Crystal Westbrooks — the offerings feature special details like rubberized TMC flag graphics and make use of various blue shades for a laid-back look. The crisp Future Rider’s all-white build is a continuation of the elegant monochromatic ethos espoused on Hussle’s past footwear collaborations like the Suede and California. Look for The Marathon Clothing and PUMA’s “The Miami Story” collection to release on the PUMA webstore, PUMA’s New York City flagship store and select retail partners come August 13. MSRPs run from $45 USD to $90 USD.On the hunt for more news about upcoming sneaker releases? Take a look at the latest installment of HYPEBEAST’s weekly Best Footwear Drops series.
