After sparking rumors of a collaboration with an Instagram post earlier this year, JJJJound’s link-up with footwear stalwarts Dr. Martens has finally been unveiled.The Canadian label — which began as a compilation of inspiring imagery and harmonious design references back in 2006 — has partnered with the likes of New Balance, Vans and Reebok over the last few years, as well as a more recent accessories release with Japanese brand PORTER.Now though, teaming up with Dr. Martens for the first time, JJJJound reimagines the epochal Archie II silhouette in both “Dark Brown Crazy Horse” and “Black Wyoming” leathers, with the former said to represent the contemporary creative, and the latter the traditional creative.Hand-crafted in Dr. Martens’ Wollaston-based factory, each shoe houses the brand’s instantly-recognisable signature yellow welt stitching, with the Wyoming sitting atop a “Smoke” V18 outsole and the “Brown Crazy Horse” upon a trans V18 outsole.Both finished with a JJJJound sewn-in tab, a set of blind eyelets and a dual-branded sock liner, the Dr. Martens x JJJJound collaboration will be available from July 31 via the Dr. Martens webstore.In other news, PLEASURES has reworked Reebok’s Club C 85 and Club C Legacy for its latest collaboration.

Evisu and Suicoke have teamed up to beat the intense summer heat. The collaboration features Suicoke’s signature KAW sandal silhouette and Evisu’s renowned denim designs. With the sandal offerings, the brands created a playful homage to their original styles with updated influences.The Evisu x Suicoke sandals are available in two designs and reimagine the classic Suicoke silhouette. The sandals feature printed embroidery with Evisu’s signature kamon, seagull and woven logo. The kamon motif appears in an all-white print and raised embroidery on denim and is paired with a shadow blue footbed. The crossover woven logo and Evisu’s logo punctuate the buckle on the second colorway, featuring a black nylon upper with an olive green footbed.The collaboration will be available July 30 on Suicoke’s website.In related news, mastermind JAPAN and Suicoke’s collaboration just dropped today.

Teva isn’t concerned about what’s supposedly cool, because with pairs such as the Revive ’94 Mid it is making a niche of its own. This pair of mid-cut booties are actually inspired by the Sandal Hiker that was released back in 1994, which was subsequently one of the most impactful silhouettes to release in the ’90s for the footwear brand.The Revive ’94 Mid is the first pair to release under Teva’s “Revive” collection which uses pairs from the archive to inspire new silhouettes that speak to a more demanding audience. Like all of Teva’s drops, the shoe does have a true outdoor-driven purpose, but of course, there’s no doubt this pair will be picked up by the normcore-meets-streetwear obsessives.Using recycled materials throughout its design, the shoe combines waterproof leather in a tan hue that looks as if it has a natural patina, but instead just sports a unique aesthetic that comes as a result of its weather-ready credentials. Mesh has been used throughout the shoe for the majority of the base, while rubber hits up the toe, mid-panel, and heel — where at the rear, large Teva branding has been added in teal.Bringing in more references to the 1990s (but simultaneously looking bang on trend) are the signature Teva straps that cross over the upper, buckling up to become the shoe’s tightening mechanism in place of traditional laces, for example. Rounding out the shoe is its EVA midsole and rubber outsole, which is finished in a gum hue to complement the weatherproof leather.The shoe is said to drop on August 2 and can be purchased from Teva or Mastered Japan.In other news, PLEASURES has crafted a Cordura-covered Reebok Club C 85 (and another Club C Legacy to boot).
