Burberry’s blocky Arthur sneaker has seen everything from a red nylon and suede makeup to monogrammed colorways and denim construction, but now it’s going back to basics with a simple yet effective British tan style dubbed “Honey”. Though this latest pair may lack the gaudy flair of its counterparts, it makes up for its lack of vibrance with an elegant color scheme and an alternate build: it’s the first Arthur to boast a knit mesh upper. This knit mesh base features a unique lacing system, with eyestays that rise out of the upper’s bottom half to meet the oval laces. It’s quickly shielded by a thick rubber mudguard and toe cap, providing a healthy dose of boot-like flair. Burberry branding is placed on the tongue tag and insole, while strips of hi-vis reflective material appear on the heel tab, heel itself and the forefoot overlay. Down below, a thick midsole with cut-out detailing towards the heel and a lugged traction pattern supply a finishing dash of style. The Burberry Arthur sneaker in “Honey” is available now via HBX. Its MSRP is set at a handsome $868 USD.Elsewhere in the world of footwear, YEEZY Day — a “celebration” of Kanye West’s famed footwear line — has been announced for August 2.

This Air Jordan 1 Mid Is Made of Sustainable Materials
Back in July 2020, Jordan Brand readied a “Crater” collection, made up of sustainably-built takes on the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom, Crater and Crater Slide. Now, in July 2021, the Jumpman is adding further to its Earth-conscious lineup with a new Air Jordan 1 Mid that boasts the same circular principles as its counterparts and is inspired by the hard-wearing nature of workwear.Officially dubbed “Black/Racer Blue/White/Multi-Color,” this mid-cut Air Jordan 1 features a washed canvas mudguard, quarter panel, heel and collar, accented by black synthetic suede toeboxes and collar flaps. Swooshes are made from Nike’s flecked NikeGrind rubber — as are the outsoles — and are overlaid with jagged blue stitching for the shoe’s brightest pop of color. Midsoles are presented in flecked gray and insoles in bright blue, while final dashes of detailing arrive via a textile ball-and-wings logo on the collar flap and a hit on the tongue. The entire shoe is constructed of at least 20% recycled content by weight.Expect this sustainable Air Jordan 1 Mid to release via the Nike webstore on August 6. Its MSRP is set at $130 USD.For more news from the world of the Swoosh have a glimpse at Patta’s duo of Air Max 1 collaborations, both of which feature unique wavy mudguards.
