Clarks Originals Unveils Its “Paint Pack” Desert Boot for FW21

Clarks Originals turns its focus to its epochal Desert Boot for Fall/Winter 2021, reworking the silhouette as a part of its eye-catching “Paint Pack”.The Desert Boot — which took center stage in Clarks Originals’ “Jamaica Pack” earlier this year — is arguably the brand’s most iconic shoe. Traditionally crafted with a soft suede upper atop a sturdy crepe sole, the Desert Boot has gone on to dress an array of subcultures across the world for near on a century. Now though, the boot takes on a slightly different look from its original, with a white-colored crepe sole that sits beneath a comfortable black upper. Completed with a duo of hang tags that have become synonymous with the brand, each boot is completed with subtle embossed branding at the heel.Available to buy now from SVD, the Clarks Originals “Paint Pack” Desert Boot retails at €250 (approximately $304 USD).In other footwear news, Studio Hagel has experimented with Stepney Workers Club’s Dellow and Varden silhouettes.

Natasha Cloud Receives Converse All Star BB Evo “Petal To the Metal” PE

Natasha Cloud sat out the 2020 WNBA season to focus her energy on supporting the social justice movement sweeping the world last summer, but she’s back ballin’ in 2021: after seven games with the Washington Mystics she’s clearly shaken the rust off, and also become the first WNBA athlete to receive a Converse PE — namely the All Star BB Evo “Petal To the Metal.” Featuring a blotted multi-color print and a rose graphic inspired by one of Cloud’s tattoos, the “Petal To the Metal” is inspired by Cloud’s ability to “bloom bravely in all areas of her life,” according to Converse. In Cloud’s own words, she “wanted the shoe to signify looking to new horizons, collective growth and regenerating oneself.”The “Petal To the Metal” features a 5/8 cut upper with a fused mesh construction, dressed in an abstract green, blue, yellow and pink pattern and supported by white synthetic overlays. The heel clip features the aforementioned rose graphic and a Converse spellout logo, both done up in pink, while a signature Converse Chevron in black is embroidered on the lateral quarter. Down below, the white midsole and outsole boast drop-in technology that combines Nike’s React foam with proprietary Converse foam for exemplary cushioning and court feel.Look for Natasha Cloud’s Converse All Star BB Evo “Petal To the Metal” PE to release on the Converse webstore come June 3.
