Alexander McQueen’s Tread Sandal Is Coming for Your Favorite Summer Slides

Sarah Burton continues to take Alexander McQueen into the new normal, and its Tread Sandal is yet another sure-fire way for the brand to capture everything we want right now: comfort, fun, and freedom (and the latter’s not just because these sandals have an open toe).Available in black, ultramarine blue, or khaki, the Tread Sandal takes design cues from the house’s previous work that’s delivered various oversized footwear choices (notably its now-iconic Oversized Sneaker or the Tread Slick boot) and applies this to the sandal style that we’ve all fallen in love with. For example, the sole unit here is chunky and ergonomic, and while the shoes may appear quite minimal, there’s also a touch of the extreme too.The black pair are undoubtedly the best and are sure to serve you from season to season. Although, no matter which color you opt for, you’ll get a leather and webbing strap-based upper that’s complemented by rubber tabs on the straps and a lacquered buckle fastening that’s finished with the Alexander McQueen moniker. More branding can be found on the ergonomic footbed as well as on the chunky treaded outsole.Alexander McQueen’s Tread Sandal retails for $690 USD and can be bought on Alexander McQueen’s website and in-store now.For more standout sandals, check out Reebok’s new line of Beatniks.
