Over the years, Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ has worked hard to reflect on the ever-developing world of streetwear, going from a focus on cross-printed T-shirts to informal and progressive tailoring and other luxury items — and now, it has dropped a pair of Chelsea Boots to complete its grown-up vision.While we’d be hard-pushed to say Off-White™ has ‘reinvented’ the Chelsea, we might go as far to say it’s been interpreted under its own lense. With this in mind, the all-black leather pair is fitted with a prominent silver zipper on the lateral side (complete with a paper clip-shaped zipper pull), as well as a silver hex nut next to this.An extended heel tab running from the sole to over the collar also gets the full Off-White™ treatment, sporting an asymmetrical design that features randomly placed cut-outs in the leather. A brown and green-split sponge sole unit is equally interesting, as the outsole is waved and ridged, and somehow it’s curvaceous yet squared-off at areas such as the toe. Already getting a look at a “Blue Void/Obsidian/White” colorway, we are now introduced to a “Grey/White” take on the fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle.The latest potential release from Hiroshi Fujiwara and Nike sees Chitose Abe’s hybrid footwear model take on another two-tone design. The upper of the shoe features a gray suede and mesh upper accented by white stacked Swooshes and heel tabs. Additional branding comes in the form of co-branding tags on the dual tongues, printed heel tabs and insoles. Shortly after getting an early image, we now have an on-foot look at the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Patent Bred.”Expected to release later this year, the bold take on the classic footwear model and iconic “Bred” colorway has been rumored since 2017.Centered around a striking updated construction, the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Patent Bred” features a full patent leather upper expressing the signature two-tone look. Maintaining the classic design, details on the shoe remain the same with black nylon even on the tongues and debossed Wings motifs at the ankle.
