The adidas and Youth of Paris Campus 80s collab will be available this Friday, January 28. Streetwear influencer Alex Lopez, head designer of Youth of Paris, has amassed a following for his signature grungy, worn-in silhouettes. The Parisian brand has grown from its 2011 Tumblr page into a notable lifestyle brand, offering anarchistic designs influenced by street art. Youth of Paris x adidas lends Lopez’s DIY vision to the familiar Campus 80s silhouette, featuring a disheveled, lived-in upper entirely constructed of black, distressed denim, loosely stitched together with mismatched pieces of textured suede. The collage effect is accented by purple topstitching near the eyestay and heel, and a neon green Youth of Paris logo airbrushed on the tongue for added visual chaos. The kicks will include three pairs of green, black, and purple laces, a Specimen ID Tag, and a special-edition collector’s box.
