One pro for being a retailer that’s been in the sneaker game for long enough is that it’ll sometimes have the luxury to participate in collaborative projects and receive exclusive products. One example is YCMC — a retailer that’s based out of Baltimore, Maryland — which often partners up with New Balance to release special colorways. We’ve previously seen the duo link up to produce 992 and 990v5 iterations, and now they’ve reunited to create a minimalistic 990v3.Brighter neutral tones sit front and center of this latest installment. The buttery pig suede overlays that are planted along the front, quarters and heels are dialed to a crispy “Nimbus Cloud” hue while the mesh underlays and overlays that are stationed on the toe boxes and collars contrast in “Kool Grey.” The simplistic palette is a nod to the original 990v3’s signature grey makeup, but it’s been slightly tweaked to be extremely versatile.Peep a further look at the pair in-depth in the gallery above, and note that YCMC is set to release these on August 25 in men’s and grade school sizes.
