Former volleyball star turned model and TV personality Gabby Reece is serving up a pinnacle walking sneaker collection with Vionic for Spring/Summer ’26. The “Gabby Sneaker” is the most advanced walking shoe Vionic, a division of Caleres, has ever made, says Kate Kibler, general manager.
“The Gabby reflects Gabby’s belief that form and function can—and must—coexist,” Kibler says. “It’s engineered to support biomechanics, energize daily movement, and look great while doing it.”
The performance-meets-purpose design supports proper foot roll and natural gait, helping activate key muscle groups and delivering a purposeful finish to every step. Every detail is chosen for performance, comfort, and durability. That includes friction laces for a secure fit that won’t loosen during movement, a seamless embossed padded tongue providing structure and comfort without pressure points, a molded heel counter that locks the foot in for added support, a breathable and flexible knit upper that adapts to individual foot shapes, a 3D printed toe overlay for enhanced durability in high-wear areas, dual-density midsole foam that balances cushion and rebound with every step, a podular outsole design for adaptive movement and natural flexibility, a TPU stability plate that adds midfoot control and torsional support, and a rubber outsoles for long-lasting traction. SRP is currently $180, but subject to change if tariff rates do.
Reece was very involved in the aesthetics—starting with the color palette. “Gabby thinks the go-to pink of many women’s athletic shoes is a cop out,” Kibler says. “That’s why she chose handsome colors that represent natural beauty and strength, and accentuate what women can do.” This spans combinations of Adobe & Aloe (earthy orange and warm browns), Raven Coast (black and gray for a city vibe), Ocean Veil (calm blue shades), Salted Dune (mossy green and beige tones), and Moss & Mist (lush green and soft neutrals). Reece also incorporated palm frond design elements as another symbol of natural beauty and strength. “They sway but they don’t break,” Kibler says, adding that Reece is very inspired by nature.
Kibler believes Reece is the ideal brand representative for Vionic. Her mantra that “everyone is an athlete” (imprinted on the insoles) aligns well with Vionic’s many female consumers. “Whether you’re chasing a toddler or working out, you’re always an athlete in the game of life and trying to persevere,” she says, noting that this marks Reece’s first footwear collaboration since Nike. “Gabby was also the first woman to do a collaboration with Nike, and we’re very proud to be her second.”
