Thanks to its re-introduction to the market by NY-based streetwear label Aimé Leon Dore, the New Balance 550 has reclaimed authority in the realm of sneakers. Its popularity has soared in the past year as it has been lent to various partners for collaborative projects and dropped in plenty of striking GR colorways. Before the year comes to a close, UNITED ARROWS has just announced that it has a super clean bespoke New Balance 550 colorway on the way.Like the silhouette’s aforementioned collabs with ALD and AURALEE, this offering is heavily reliant on neutral tones to outfit its various panels. Most of the upper here is treated smooth suede overlays that come embellished with an ecru hue, while ivory accents are scattered out to the tongues, collars and heels. Snowy white accents also appear on the laces, forefoot’s “550” branding, “N” logos and the heel hits. Two grey molds are positioned towards the rear, one of which is covered in a charcoal-esque hue while the other deviates with a lighter grey. Rounding off its look is an eggshell-tinted midsole piece that comes debossed with a duo of New Balance insignias while the treading is mostly supplied with a charcoal exterior. These are dropping exclusively via UNITED ARROWS on December 3 for ¥ 16,500 (approx. $146 USD).Previously, Franck Muller and New Balance showed off its watch-inspired 327 capsule.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
