Two Ten has launched an industry-wide free mentorship program to connect those who want to take the next step in their footwear careers with experienced footwear professionals for one-on-one advice, monthly group coaching sessions, and support in goal setting and professional growth. Applications opened October 20 and close December 23 for the inaugural session, which starts in February 2027.
Developed in conjunction with career coaching and community-building firm CoLABl, The Two Ten Mentorship Program aims to provide a win-win for mentees and mentors. Its mission is to foster the exchange of ideas, provide a forum for talking through challenges, and help footwear professionals expand their networks and build meaningful relationships—all while supporting the next generation and safeguarding the industry’s future.
Because it’s open to footwear professionals regardless of gender, the new program promises to be more inclusive than Two Ten’s Women in the Footwear Industry (WIFI) program, which ended in 2020.
To qualify as a mentee, applicants must have at least one year of experience in the industry or be a recent graduate. Mentors need to have at least five years of experience in footwear. Ideal candidates are mid- to senior-level leaders eager to share their knowledge, sharpen their leadership skills, and help others succeed.
The first program will include 50 mentor-mentee pairs. Those not matched for the pilot will have an opportunity to participate in future sessions.
