Just in time for America’s 250th birthday, Twisted X is introducing a patriotic new Built in the USA Collection that includes nine men’s work and mud boots. As the name suggests, all are assembled at factories in the United States, using a combination of domestic and imported materials.
Designed to stand up to the toughest jobsites, the styles feature nano toe and steel toe options, waterproof construction, electrical hazard protection, and slip-resistant outsoles. Some also have a Quick Draw lacing system, which swaps traditional laces with a precision dial for custom tightness and allows wearers to put on and take off their boots fast.
“Our Built in the USA endeavor is all about setting a new standard for footwear production,” says Twisted X CEO Prasad Reddy.
“This collection reflects our commitment to delivering job-ready protection and dependable quality, assembled right here at home to meet the demands of the American people who shape this country every day.”
Reddy says the company’s decision to start making products in the U.S. stems from a combination of patriotism and tariff uncertainties. “This lineup exemplifies our diversification plan: sourcing the best materials from the best locations, resulting in higher quality and readily available footwear,” he explains. “Our hope is to change the industry standard moving forward.”
The initial response from retailers has been “outstanding,” Reddy reports, noting that plans are to deliver close to 100,000 pairs in the first year. “Our customers are thrilled that Twisted X is making work boots in the USA.”
The collection is starting under Twisted X Work, though plans are to expand production into other categories. Suggested retail prices for Built in the USA styles are $94.95 to $259.95. The collection will be available through select retailers starting July 4 at twistedx.com/pages/usa-built.
