Actor Josh Duhamel has taken an equity/partnership stake in STOKE Shoes, a performance-lifestyle brand specializing in footwear for men with wider feet. A wide-width wearer himself, the Transformers star says STOKE is his footwear of choice on and off set, and he’s encouraging the rest of the estimated 97 million American men (75 percent of the male population) who have wide feet to follow in his footsteps (excuse the pun).
“I got tired of paying over 200 bucks for sneakers that made my feet hurt. I’m on my feet all day and STOKE Shoes is the only shoe I wear,” says Duhamel. They’re “easily the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned.”
“Josh didn’t need us to convince him to wear STOKE. He was already wearing them,” says Ian Stewart, chief marketing officer for the brand, which was founded in 2025 and is now carried in more than 450 retail stores as well as selling direct-to-consumer.
“What made this partnership perfect is that he believes in what we’re building,” adds Stewart. “He sees the size of the problem, believes in our team, and wants to help us solve it at scale.”
As part of the brand partnership, Duhamel will star in social content campaigns for STOKE, which builds product for men with sizes E/2E through 3E/4E widths, all under $100. Many incorporate proprietary technologies including Big Ball Girth, Mansplay Midsole, and PowerStack cushioning.
Duhamel’s first campaign poses a simple question “Why are so many guys still wearing sneakers that don’t fit?” and reminds them that they needn’t compromise on comfort, quality, or style if they wear STOKE.
