Deviating from TIGHTBOOTH’s usual streetwear-centric aesthetics, the label – founded by Japanese skater Shinpei Ueno – has partnered with BLOHM, an emerging and independent brand to create the Velvet Rat Loafer. As its name suggests, the Velvet Rat Loafer is a pair of velvety loafers based on the style of BLOHM’s Homies Rat model. The special edition pair with TIGHBOOTH is dyed in an elegant black that shines with luster wherever light hits. Fitted with durable Vibram rubber soles, a bright orange TIGHTBOOTH label adorns the heel counters, complete with matching, co-branded insoles.Priced at ¥36,300 JPY (approximately $283 USD) and officially launching on November 19, the Velvet Rat Loafer will be available on TIGHTBOOTH’s website, BLOHM’s online store as well as both brand’s authorized retailers. In other footwear news, Maison Margiela readies the aged Reebok TZ Pump.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
