The Nike Air Max 97 Toggle Takes on Silver and Pink

Nike debuted the Air Max 97 in 1997 with the help of Christian Tresser’s design work. Tresser pulled inspiration from Japanese bullet-trains and 25 years later his creation is still a key part of the Swoosh’s annual offerings. Recent presentations of the sneaker have included retro looks such as the timeless “Silver Bullet,” a collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS and colorways upgraded with toggle lacing.Adding to the list of Air Max 97 Toggle colorways, Nike has combined the simple lacing system with a color palette that utilizes silver, black, off-white and pink. Its upper features the typical leather and mesh combination of the Air Max 97 with a primarily silver look joined by black linework and laces. Pink hits branding elements including the Swooshes and heel tab while the Air-infused sole unit looks to off-white for the midsole and black at the rubber outsole.Look for this latest toggle-laced take on the Nike Air Max 97 to hit shelves via Nike and select retailers in the coming months. Stay tuned for more release information and take an official look at the colorway above. In case you missed it, be sure to check out the autumnal-colored Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Wheat Grass.”Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
