The month of October marks numerous global celebrations to keep an eye on. Halloween is held on the 31st, while Latin Heritage Month runs for an entire calendar month and ends on October 15. From festivals to museum exhibitions and paying homage to local artisans who contribute to the culture, the celebration recognises the notable heritage rooted in all Latin countries. Nike is commemorating the latter occasion with a slew of honorary footwear launches enhanced by rich Latin motifs. In addition, the footwear titan recently revealed the “Somos Familia” pack, featuring the Air Max 1 and Dunk High enveloped in remarkable cultural decorations. Now, Nike takes to the Air Force 1 Low, integrating it into the line-up of upcoming releases. The low-top sneaker sees a distinct color palette as light tan suede hits the mudguards, lacing systems and heel counters. Faint yellow canvas counteracts by gracing the medial panels and toe boxes along with circular embroidery that runs through its perimeter. Leather profile Swooshes receive a split design as vibrant red fashions the tips and white adorns the rears which are all tied together by exposed stitching. Washed black tabs arrive at the tongues and heels stamped with red Nike branding, while pack-specific logos are seen on the outer heel counters and insoles. Vivid orange liners and pitch-black sole units complete the offering. The Nike Air Force 1 “Somos Familia” is expected to hit shelves in the coming months via Nike and select retailers for $150 USD.
