Take an In-Hand Look at the Pawnshop Skate Co. x Nike SB Dunk High

Initially teased in August, Californian skate shop Pawnshop Skate Co. is slated to release its own iteration of the Nike SB Dunk High. Previously teased via an on-foot look, the elegant sneaker now receives in-hand imagery and further detailed shots. Co-founder Anthony Piscopo — father of Nike SB team rider Donovon Piscopo — represents the So-Cal skate scene through premium materials and gilded detailing. The silhouette is primed with an ultra-smooth black leather base, matched with subtle rich brown toe boxes and medial Swooshes adorned with golden contrast stitching. The same linear detailing hits the heels, while Pawnshop Skate Co.’s “Wing & Wheel” emblem is embroidered onto the ankle flaps and stamped on the insoles as a tasteful touch. Eyelets arrive in a tonal manner, while only one receives a metallic finish. Black nylon tongues see brown perimeter outlines alongside leather tags debossed with co-branded logos. On the flip side, tribute text speaks to the shop’s 12-year-long history as a fundamental component of the Covina skate community. Brown suede liners complete the design, sitting atop white midsoles and black rubber bottoms. The Pawnshop Skate Co. x Nike SB Dunk High has yet to receive a release date, but expect them to drop later this year via Nike SB and select retail partners for $125 USD. In other news, Salehe Bembury has teased a Clarks Wallabee collaboration. Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
