Soles4Souls Annual Race4EveryKid Beats Its Own Goal

Talk about a reason to run. Nonprofit Soles4Souls’ sixth annual Race4EveryKid event in May exceeded its own goal by 8.2 percent, raising $460,000 to provide more than 23,000 students experiencing homelessness with brand new athletic shoes and socks.
More than 1,200 people around the world took part in the monthlong event, which supports Sole4Souls’ 4EveryKid initiative. Together, participants logged more than 118,000 miles running, walking, swimming, and biking for a cause. Every $20 they raised provided one of the 1.2 million children in the U.S. who lack stable housing with a pair of shoes and socks. Those basics can be the difference-maker that gives kids the ability to attend school, try out for a sports team, and stay active.
“The network of participants from our homebase in Nashville and worldwide played a powerful role in everything we were able to achieve during this year’s Race4EveryKid,” says Buddy Teaster, CEO and president of Soles4Souls. “When we come together, we can make meaningful strides in supporting the communities around us.”
Sponsors for this year’s Race4EveryKid included Voya Financial, Elementum, Zappos, U.S. Travel Association, NRF Foundation, Jade Footwear, Efl, and the Atlanta Shoe Market.
The next Race4EveryKid will take place in May 2027. To learn more, visit www.soles4souls.org.
