Saucony’s 3D G.R.I.D. Hurricane Throws It Back to 1997

Saucony has a penchant for serving a throwback, and its latest sneaker release is no exception. Later this month, Saucony will launch the 3D G.R.I.D. Hurricane in “White/Green,” harking back to the ’90s when Saucony was a major player in the running scene.More specifically, the 3D G.R.I.D. Hurricane was the official footwear of choice for the 1997 Chase Corporation Challenge. It gained plenty of love and attention thanks to its class-leading cushion technology, stability and control, and served as the footwear label’s leading sneaker.Visible grid webbing on the cushioned heel pops in vivid green against the Hurricane’s white leather and mesh base, while a pop of teal works the perforated, breathable fabric that’s been added to the mid-panels. Bold hits of neon highlight the ’90s nostalgia, adding wavy lines and branding all over the sneaker for a nod to the past. Rounding out the sneaker is a high-traction outsole and OG-style branding on the rear.Take a look at the Saucony 3D G.R.I.D. Hurricane in “White/Green” above, and pick up a pair from retailers such as AFEW Store on June 24 for €149.95 EUR (approx. $157 USD).In other news, here’s your best look at the Nike x MMW Zoom 005 mule.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
