Salehe Bembury has taken to his Instagram to reveal his long-teased Crocs collaboration: a Classic Clog that appears to be covered with a super-sized, textured version of his signature fingerprint motif. Bembury first hinted at the collaboration with a playful video back in February and has since posted two teaser images of it, but this marks our first full look at his efforts.Where collaborators like Palace, Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny and Diplo simply took the Classic Clog, changed the color scheme and added their own unique Jibbitz charms, Bembury redesigned it from the ground up. Crafted mostly of white foam, his Classic Clog features a richly ridged texture with oval-shaped cutouts in the forefoot for breathability. Contrast is supplied by black straps that connect a co-branded heel piece, a black rear outsole detail, and smoky black translucent forefoot hit that rises up onto the toebox to complete the look.With fashion-conscious clogs like Kanye West’s YEEZY FOAM RNNR and Merrell’s Hydro Moc enjoying vast popularity in 2021, Bembury’s clog is likely to be a hit of its own accord. It’s also a part of a busy summer for the footwear industry veteran, following up his Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002R “Water Be the Guide” from June, and corresponding with his fingerprint-adorned Vans Era as well.
