Puma Brings Its ‘80s-Born “Slipstream” Sneaker Back to Life With a New Collection

PUMA is throwing things back with a revitalized version of its “Slipstream” sneaker. The sportswear giant released the original edition of the shoe back in the ’80s to facilitate for basketball players, now in 2022, the design has been brought back to life with a modern-day twist.Available for both men and women, the “Slipstream” combines its basketball DNA with a clean rework. The sneaker’s tooling and upper have been given a more contemporary feel while the midsole has been sculpted with updated overlay panels and a remodeled collar construction.The new “Slipstream” design has also come with a campaign that follows a cast of PUMA fan members such as Neymar Jr, LaMelo Ball, Danna Paolo, Romeo Beckham, and more.
