Prada is building buzz and winning fans with a new Holiday 2026 campaign that rejects the AI slop trend in favor of whimsical, old-school, entirely hand-drawn animation.
To make it happen, the luxury brand tapped Disney animation legend John Pomeroy, British fashion photographer and film director Glen Luchford, and a team of artists to design a fairytale-worthy video and campaign photography featuring Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, and other young model/actors cavorting through an animated winter wonderland with anthropomorphic animals darting in and out of the latest Prada footwear, admiring holiday bags, and even stashing a few accessories in mouseholes of cozy cottages with crackling fireplaces that would make Snow White feel at home.
At a time when an estimated 88 percent of U.S. brands and agencies use AI to generate creative advertising content, according to Adweek, Prada’s old-fashioned holiday magic celebrates the care, quality, and craft that go into human-made work and connects it to the brand’s own values.
“That sense of touch expresses a fundamental notion of humanity, and a connection with craft that always lies at the very heart of Prada’s approach to creation,” the brand’s literature notes.
