Power Rangers Morphs Reebok’s Zig Kinetica II, Club C, Nano X1, and More

Power Rangers’ Reebok collaboration has been floating around the Internet recently, but we’ve finally got an official look at the full six-piece footwear team-up. Taking on the Zig Kinetica II, Nano X1, Club C Legacy, Freestyle Hi, Club C, and the Question Mid, the five former pairs make up the signature Power Rangers colors of red, black, blue, pink, and yellow respectively, while the Question Mid brings this all together as the “Megazord” of the pack. Each Power Ranger has been given their own shoe in reference to the kind of superhero they are. For example, the Zig Kinetica II is red because of the character’s athleticism and power, which is translated by the sneaker’s design. A jagged toe box references Tyrannosaurus Zord’s teeth, while silver Zord accents along the midsole further add to the dynamic structure of the Zig Kinetica II and nod once again to the Red Ranger. As for the Nano X1, which is served in black, the focus is on speed and agility. The Nano X1 is, therefore, a natural fit for the Black Ranger, while those who remember the original series in the ’90s will note specific stylistic cues on the shoe, such as the heel tab that references the Black Ranger’s ’90s fashion sense.Blue and white take center stage on the Club C Legacy, which uses white around the heel, collar, and for color blocking to reference Triceratops Zords’ crown. A clear sole unit has been included in the design as an homage to the Blue Ranger’s approach, whose power comes from within — and the clear sole is said to show this by being seethrough.Reebok’s Freestyle Hi is its first “workout shoe made exclusively for women,” so it has dedicated this pair to the Pink Ranger. Reebok says that the Pink Ranger is “known for promoting individual empowerment and investing in others by teaching aerobics at her community center,” and this comes through in the shoe’s design which is strong, confident, and inclusive. A green broken heart features on the inside of the strap in reference to the Pink Ranger’s relationship with the Green Ranger.Zord markings find themselves decorating the yellow Club C, while the Question Mid brings much of the above together as the “Megazord” sneaker. There’s a black and yellow tongue, V-printed eyelets in reference to Zord’s teeth, a question mark on the right toe and an “M” on the left (standing for “Megazord”) and much more going on.Take a look at the Power Rangers x Reebok collaboration above. All six silhouettes will release on June 29 at 10 a.m. EST on Reebok’s website, and will be priced between $100 USD and $180 USD depending on the style. In case you missed it, check out the latest issue of Sole Mates.
