Together, the two brands have joined hands on a fresh take atop the adidas Superstar that is understated in style but tough in palette.Nearly every inch of the shoe is covered in black. Smooth leather tongues, lateral and medial panels and the classic shell toe boxes are drenched with the stealthy paint, and come packaged with translucent side stripes and crisp white shoe strings. Bold red accents from the Los Angeles-based company also comes into play via the PLEASURES spell out — that replaces the traditional Superstar word — next to the stripes as well as on the heels where Alex James’ brand name is also hosted inside a red oval. To further speak to its minimal motif, the tongues have been stripped of their usual branded hits.
