Take an On-Foot Look at the Air Jordan 2 “Craft”

Nike has a wide collection of sneakers that don’t tend to miss a beat. When looking at some of the Swooshes’ most poplar silhouettes — such as the Jordan 1 and Dunk Low — new color schemes and designs are constantly presented to keep Nike fans engaged. And while the latter seems to be dominating the headlines as of late, one silhouette that is currently going under the radar and having a successful year is the Air Jordan 2. Collaborations atop the retro Jordan model are being presented at a rapid rate — such as the recently-presented Shelflife link-up — but Jordan Brand is now diverting our attention away from its team-ups by unveiling its upcoming Air Jordan 2 “Craft” release. The sneaker is dressed in a “Sail,” “Desert,” “Sunset Haze,” “Muslin,” and “Light Steel Grey” color scheme and comes constructed in a leather base with a scale-like overlay. The chunky silhouette also sits atop a rubber outsole, complemented with speckles of grey to round off the design. The customary branding can be spotted on the sneaker’s heel and on the shoe’s high-rising tongue. You can have a closer look at the Air Jordan 2 “Craft” above and it will be available on the official Nike website and select retailers in the coming weeks. In other news, take a look at the new “Tokyo 2003” Air Force 1 Mid.

Kobe Bryant’s adidas Crazy 1 “Sunshine” Is Restocking

When adidas announced it would be re-releasing the Crazy 1 in the form of its iconic “Sunshine” color scheme earlier this year, Kobe Bryant fans rejoiced. It’s a pair synonymous with the late basketball player, a design that divides the sporting community yet simultaneously has brought them together over their shared love for Kobe, who died in 2020. Now, after a small drop in April, the pair is set to arrive yet again for a wider release.Of course, this sneaker comes in the unmissable combination of “Team Yellow,” “Iron Metallic” and “Core Black,” working the sculptural synthetic textile upper with the bold “Sunshine” hue. The spaceship-esque offering wears its Three Stripes deeply embedded into the structural uppers, leading the eye to a smooth “Iron Metallic” sole unit that doubles as a bumper around the shoe.Elsewhere, a “Core Black” heel tab with adidas’ logo works the rear, blending into the neoprene-like sock inner that’s ergonomically designed to keep your foot snugly in place while wearing them on the court. This brings us back to the front of the shoe where a tongue is kitted out in yellow laces and a toe bumper graces the pair with ridges. As expected, this sneaker will retail for $140 USD. Take a closer look at it above, and pick up the adidas Crazy 1 from adidas’ website and stores on October 22.For more daring footwear, check out CamperLab’s unique take on the formal derby.

CamperLab’s Eki Takes a Twisted Approach to Formal Footwear

Achilles Ion Gabriel is turning footwear on its head at the experimental label, CamperLab. Following up on the Junction — a formal silhouette that saw its toe dipped in a rainbow of colors — as well as the genderless Kobarah heel, the imprint now delivers another smart offering, but of course, not all is what it seems.Taking the familiar Eki family, CamperLab serves up a formal style derived from the derby dynasty. Notable from a top-down point of view, the shoe grows asymmetrical shapes to create an angular design, accented by the oversized contrast stitching. Likewise, growths continue to encompass the shoe as the sole unit is served in a bulbous manner, acting as a platform for the upper to rest on.That upper is made from calfskin leather, offering a softer side to a pair destined for heavy-duty walking. This is because the sole unit is made from thick rubber and the insole is kitted out in recycled Ortholite cushioning for all-day support and comfort.Coming in either black or burgundy tones, the Eki is complete with a creased stitched vamp leading the eye towards a set of tongue-adorning laces, as well as branding on the insoles and on the outsole. Take a closer look at the pair above, and pick it up now from CamperLab’s website for £365 GBP (or $545 USD).For more subverted classics, check out Supreme’s crystal-covered Vans.
