The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Game Winner” Pays Tribute to Michael Jordan’s Iconic 1982 NCAA Championship Winning Shot

Jordan Brand is immortalizing Michael Jordan’s game-winning shot during the 1982 NCAA Championship with its latest Air Jordan 1 Mid GS design. The kid’s exclusive footwear arrives with white and UNC blue uppers that are contrasted by monochromatic panel detailing, which shows MJ going for the shot and the reaction of Tar Heels coach Dean Smith as he watches the neophyte. Traditional Air Jordan and swoosh branding can be found on the tongue tag, ankle and panel, but it also touched with a special tongue that recreates a basketball net with stitched lacing. The iteration rests on a white midsole and matching UNC blue outsole, tied together with white laces for a sleek finish.Check out the shoe above and stay tuned for an official release date.In other footwear news, the Nike Dunk High received a “Chenille Swoosh” makeover for Halloween.

The Reebok Question Mid “Dr. J” Receives a Release Date

Allen Iverson’s first signature shoe, the Reebok Question Mid, will be returning later this month to pay homage to the legendary hall of fame basketball player Julius Erving, also known as Dr. J. Back in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game, Iverson famously donned the number 6 to pay homage to the high-flying Sixers superstar. The upcoming pairs call back to that moment, with the heel numbers of the rear outsoles displaying Dr. J’s number 6 instead of Iverson’s number 3.Arriving in a white leather base and loose-knit mesh tongue, the classic silhouette features red and gold accents across the various Reebok vector logos and eyestay lettering. Additional highlights include a colorful graphic of Allen Iverson, eluding to his SLAM Magazine cover from 1999, in which he ditched his iconic cornrows for an afro similar to Dr. J’s. Rounding out the design are white midsoles and icy blue translucent outsoles. The Reebok Question Mid “Dr. J” is set to arrive on July 22 at Reebok’s website and select retailers for $160 USD.Elsewhere in footwear, Vandy The Pink teases new skeletal Clarks Wallabees.

Vandy The Pink Teases New Skeletal Clarks Wallabees

Following an eco-conscious capsule with PANGAIA earlier this year, Virginia-based designer Vandy The Pink captures the attention of his fans once again with a playful skeletal rework of the Clarks Wallabees. Known for his light-hearted and feel-good designs based on a wide range of pop-culture inspirations, Vandy’s new Wallabee iterations continue to refine the “Black” and “Beige” designs he introduced earlier this year. The upcoming pairs arrive in brown, bone, black, white, and sage green featuring foot skeleton panels stitched across the toebox.  Each pair is complete with different speckled and flat lace pairings, accompanied by additional lace coils fixed alongside the Clarks fabric tags. The sage green iteration is finished in suede with contrasting white leather collars while the white pairs arrive in soft tumbled leathers. Consistent throughout the new introductions are Wallabee’s classic crepe sole units. So far, no release information has been announced.
