The Nike Dunk Low “Virgil Abloh™ X Futura Laboratories” Sold for as High as $107,950 USD

The eight pairs of “Virgil Abloh™ x Futura Laboratories” Nike Dunk Low kicks were just sold at Sotheby’s with prices that far exceeded their pre-auction estimations. The highest winning big goes to a size 10 pair in the orange colorway, sold at $107,950 USD — around 5,000 times greater than the original estimated price range of $2,000 – $4,000 USD.As indicated in the results, the Orange colorway genuinely received higher bids than its Blue counterpart. Winning bids for the Blue editions ranged from $25,400 USD for the size 5, to $82,550 USD for the size 11. Meanwhile, the lowest winning bid for the Orange version amounted to $57,150 USD for a size 6 pair.All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Virgil Abloh Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Virgil Abloh Securities that is set to launch later this year. The Foundation will continue to support youths from diverse backgrounds in pursuing creative careers. Official Images of the Air Jordan 3 “Wizards”

Update: Previously surfacing in November of 2022, the Air Jordan 3 “Wizards” has now been officially revealed ahead of its release later this month. The pair is outfitted with a “True Blue”-esque coloring, adding in hints of orange rather than red. A release date of April 29 has also been confirmed with the shoe launching via Nike and select retailers at a price of $210 USD. It was essentially the “one before the 1” that was introduced in ’86 and is recognized for its oversized Air unit in the sole.
