As per usual,  details on the shoes include dual laces, stacked tongues and tongue tags. While additional branding comes in the form of printed insoles and “NIKE” markings on the heel tabs. Under Armour Reveals the Flow Velociti Wind, Its “Fastest Running Shoe Yet”

How do you make a running shoe faster? It’s a question that footwear brands are on an endless hunt to answer, and Under Armour’s latest crack at the riddle is the new Flow Velociti Wind. Dubbed UA’s “fastest running shoe yet,” the Flow Velociti Wind is centered around a Flow cushioning system that completely eliminates the need for a shoe’s heaviest piece: the rubber outsole.First debuted on Steph Curry’s Curry Flow 8, the Flow underfoot setup is a soft-yet-supportive foam that boasts a natural tack to ensure all-condition grip. Though some runners may wince at the thought of an exposed foam outsole, the Flow’s setup is the result of 15 rounds and over 11,000 miles of wear testing, ensuring it won’t swiftly bottom out.Atop this flexible base sits a knit UA Warp upper, with supporting “tapes” inspired by seatbelts. These strong structures flex when pressure is applied and stay still when it’s not, enabling reactive, adaptive support that doesn’t pinch the wearer’s foot. The combination of Warp and Flow makes for a stunningly light shoe, with a men’s size 9.5 weighing in at a scant 8.5 oz. Launch colorways include white/red/black, neon green/black and white/gold/silver.“UA Flow is another huge leap forward for Under Armour — and it opens up the possibilities for future models and seasons,” said Josh Rattet, Under Armour’s Vice President of Global Footwear. “We have been deliberate and focused on our quest to build an authentic and credible run brand over the past few years, and the UA Flow Velociti Wind is truly a testament to our team’s commitment to creating solutions to make all runners better.”Expect the Under Armour Flow Velocity Wind to release on the brand’s webstore come March 3, priced at $160 USD.For more news on upcoming sneaker releases, check out the latest installment of HYPEBEAST’s weekly Best Footwear Drops list.
