Diving back into the ring of collaborative footwear initiatives, the Tokyo-based entity is now partnering up with the sandal savants of Suicoke to produce a fresh new Room Shoe capsule.For this newest collection, WACKO MARIA took a simple lounge silhouette and applied its signature flair to it. Leopard patterns — which are have been previously utilized on its various camp collared shirts — are translated onto this hotel room-ready silhouette for two takes. The first offering is one of more grayscale nature as its backdrop is wrapped in a foggy gray hue while the aforementioned animal print contrasts in a stark black. Its release sibling lies on the brighter side of color wheel as its base is painted in a rustic orange hue and also decorated with black all-over graphics. After honoring Kobe Bryant for his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame with a special Lakers-friendly Kobe 5 Protro iteration, UNDEFEATED and Nike will be rolling right along with another footwear collaboration that involves the classic Nike Dunk Low. Following up on its preview of its colorway inspired by its Air Force 1 Low “Canteen”, the streetwear stalwart is now bringing light to the Dunk Low “Dunk vs AF-1” which draws from its purple Air Force 1 Low “InsideOut” variation from 2006.Royal blue leathers make the biggest statement on these kicks as it makes up the collars, heel overlays, laces and toe boxes. More blue notes also arrive on the throat and forefoot overlays, but these arrive with snakeskin textures and black accents. Quarters are adorned with a rich purple hue and angelic accents are found along the Swooshes, heel’s Nike branding and the embroidered UNDEFEATED five strike logo on the lateral heels. If you peek inside the shoes, you’ll see that the footbeds have been presented with a purple backdrop and a “Dunk vs AF-1” embellishment to further echo its throwback motif.
