There’s no telling when the Dunk wave from Nike will show signs of simmering down, so while the excitement is still high, the Swoosh team will be supplying the market with a slew of new colorways. Traveling back into the “Be True To Your School” era, the Nike team has decided to now serve up a Dunk Low “Georgetown” colorway which has now been revealed by way of detailed imagery. In an effort to best call out Hoya Nation, this impending installment bears the D.C.-based university’s duo of school colors. Covering the overlays, Swooshes and the shoe laces is a dark navy hue, while a muted gray tone is responsible for wrapping the perforated toe boxes, quarter paneling, tongues and collars. More notes of gray are also recognized atop the Nike branding on the tongues and heels. Placed underneath the base is a crisp white midsole, while the treading is dyed with a full navy coating. An official drop date has not been revealed just yet, but it’s confirmed that these are going to launch in men’s and kid’s sizes. Retail for the men’s will $100 USD as usual, and it’s likely that these will hit SNKRS and select retailers in the coming months.Previously, Nike unveiled its racing-inspired Ishod Wair x Magnus Walker x Nike SB Dunk High collaboration.

The Nike Dunk High Appears in Familiar “University Blue” Color Scheme
Nike’s lifestyle-geared Nike Sportswear sub-label is continuing its gratuitous use of “University Blue” on the Dunk with a new Dunk High “University Blue.” Following in the footsteps of the Dunk Low “University Blue” and the Dunk Low “Coast” — the latter of which is identical to the former, save for a dash of gold on the heel — the Dunk High “University Blue” offers a UNC Tar Heels-inspired color scheme for maximum collegiate style.Uppers are built mostly of leather, with “University Blue” appearing on the mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, heels, collar flaps and collar trim while contrasting white tones grace the toebox, quarter panel and collar. White nylon tongues are embellished with a blue fabric tag, and the top half is brought together by slim white laces. Down below, white midsoles and “University Blue” outsoles complete the look.An official release date for the Nike Dunk High “University Blue” has yet to be announced. However, as its low-top counterpart is set to debut later in June it’ll likely arrive sometime in July or August. The MSRP will be $110 USD, in line with other Dunk models. For more news on upcoming sneaker releases, take a look at the latest installment of HYPEBEAST’s weekly Best Footwear Drops series.
German Sneaker Boutique Acribik Teams with Saucony for Striking Azura “Tech Noir”
Independent German sneaker boutique Acribik has teamed up with Saucony’s Saucony Originals arm for its first ever footwear collaboration: a new “Tech Noir” makeup of the classic Azura. Featuring shimmering accents and accompanied by a lookbook that seems to be heavily inspired by ’80s club culture plus Miami Vice aesthetics, the “Tech Noir” is full of retro flair and special details. The upper’s most notable piece is the mudguard, which features a soft gradient fade that combines blue, purple and pink. This embellishment is replicated on the rear half of the midsole and a low-hanging midfoot overlay, which also supplies embroidered Azura branded details. The rest of the upper consists of classic black and white meshes and leathers, with the look rounded off by a co-branded Acribik and Saucony hit on the heel. The “Tech Noir” also comes packaged in a special box — and Acribik even tapped Berlin-based DJ duo Andhim to produce a special soundtrack for the sneaker, which can be heard in the video below.Expect the Acribik x Saucony Azura “Tech Noir” to release on the Acribik webstore come June 12, then receive a global drop on June 26. There’s also a friends and family “Miami White” edition that’s limited to a scant 150 pairs. For more news on upcoming sneaker releases, check out the latest installment of HYPEBEAST’s weekly Best Footwear Drops series.
