New Balance 550 Emerges With a Purple and White Makeover

New Balance and its array of lifestyle footwear propositions continue to be the talk of the sneaker market, and one of the models that continues to show a strong presence is the New Balance 550. The silhouette quickly became a hot commodity after its first collaborative capsule with Aimé Leon Dore back in October 2020, and now it has sneakerheads watching its every move. Next up for the retro hoops offering is another GR two-toned colorway that crafted between white and purple tones.A multitude of materials are brought in here to forge this pair’s upper material including that of smooth and perforated leathers, mesh and sultry suede. The low-slung kicks predominantly see angelic finishes applied to its upper half, and call upon a rich purple hue to settle down on the collars, heel molds, N logos, 550 forefoot hits and tongue branding. The suede overlays that sit up on the toe caps deviate with a light gray hue. Midsoles deliver a sightly vintage-esque vibe due to their off-white outers, and the outsoles stay on theme by getting splashed with more purple paint. If you’re thinking of adding these to your rotation, you can find these dropping via New Balance come June 24 for $120 USD.Previously, New Balance revealed its 2021 NYC Marathon collection.
