Converse Wraps the Classic All Star 100 in Black GORE-TEX

The Converse All Star is arguably the most quintessential example of what a sneaker can be — it’s a fool-proof option and stands the test of time — but as we all know there comes a moment when the shoe’s worn out beyond being lovingly distressing. Now, Converse has solved this problem by crafting the All Star 100 out of GORE-TEX.Following on from other Converse All Star 100 GORE-TEX Hi iterations — like this over-branded pair or the duck camo version — the sneaker giant takes things back to basics by dropping this offering in black. It still features a classic canvas upper, but now this has been covered in GORE-TEX which weather-proofs the sneaker against all of the elements. One of the key advantages of it being covered in GORE-TEX is that you can now wear your Converses in the rain and they won’t get sodden, which as we probably all know then turns the canvas into a stiff, unforgiving material.Aside from the black colorway, you’ll find GORE-TEX branding on a tab on the rear, white contrast stitching, a white sole unit and toe cap, and a hardwearing outsole finished with blue Converse branding.Costing ¥ 16,500 JPY (approx. $150 USD), the Converse All Star 100 GORE-TEX “Black” can be purchased over on mita sneaker’s website now. Take a closer look at the pair above. In other news, Ferrari and PUMA have returned with the ION F sneaker.

Karhu Readies the Launch of Its All-New Ikoni Running Sneaker

Karhu has built on its recent Olympics-inspired release by teaming up with YMR Track Club for a limited and unique “Sun Run” collection.Designed to celebrate a midnight running experience during Lapland’s endless light, the concise capsule comprises a sweatshirt, T-Shirt, and singlet for both men and women, all of which have been crafted in its neighbouring country of Sweden using sustainable methods and yarns. No doubt the highlight of the collection, though, is the all-new Karhu Ikoni. Ferrari and PUMA Make a Head Turning Comeback With ION F Sneaker

Hot on the (w)heels of Ferrari’s debut fashion show comes a new collaboration between the Italian supercar manufacturer and PUMA, introducing the collaborative ION F.Ferrari and PUMA have a longstanding relationship that dates back to late ’90s, when PUMA used to make Formula 1 racing car drivers’ shoes and then, much like a homologation, turned these into street-going variants. Today, Ferrari switches things up by directly using its finest automotive talent to inspire its sneakers — more specifically, the SF90 Stradale’s entire design language is evident in the ION F sneaker.Aside from the “Rosso Corsa” and “PUMA White” colorway (and the addition of Ferrari branding and “Prancing Horse” badges), there’s more to the ION F than what meets the eye. For example, its rear reflective TPU and PU foam-wrapped panel is inspired by the SF90’s front spoiler, while the magnetic-fit lock buckles are a forceful nod to the g-force created when driving the SF90 around winding bends at speed. The ION F has a combination of curves and angles, just like Ferrari’s cars. It’s sporty yet elegant, functional but not absent of form. Representing the future of Ferrari, the PUMA shoes also fit right in with Ferrari’s new fashion collection that continues the link between cars and humans, curves and human anatomy, and so on.Ferrari’s PUMA ION F can be seen above, and is available to purchase now from both PUMA and Ferrari’s websites and stores. The ION F costs £400 GBP (approx. $560 USD).In other news, here are all the colorways of the Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low “The 50.”
