The Nike OverBreak SP is arguably one of the sportswear giants’ unsung heroes, appearing in makeups such as the Tom Sachs Mars Yard-esque “Fossil” colorway and in a “Chaos/Balance” rework by the hands of UNDERCOVER, and now it appears in its cleanest overhaul to date: “Light Bone/Metallic Silver.”Constructed from a textile material that looks like suede, the OverBreak SP seen above features all of its standard features in light hues that make it the perfect sneaker for the last of the summer months. A bright white synthetic rubber toe cap is seen at the front and continues to make up the bulbous, textured foam rubber sole unit that gives the sneaker its signature look, while elsewhere around the shoe Nike has added more lively touches. For example, the Swoosh is made from “Metallic Silver” leather, leading up to heel tabs in blue leather where Nike’s stamp can be found in white. More blue lines the shoe’s interior, which subsequently leads the eye back to the classic Nike-branded tongue tag.Rounding out the Nike OverBreak SP is its tonal rope laces. All of this summer-ready goodness from Nike costs $190 USD, and can be bought from retailers such as Très Bien now.Elsewhere, the Nike Waffle One has been given an ACG-inspired makeover.

The Chunky New Balance 725 is Served Up in Two Colorways
The lifestyle category for New Balance is among the most prosperous across the entire sneaker landscape, and it continues to perform well thanks to its output of on-trend silhouettes and versatile colorways. And to keep this run going, the Boston sportswear company is digging into its archives to bring back two variations of the dad-friendly New Balance 725.The chunky offering has been unveiled in a duo of new colorways including a “Beige” and “Dark Gray”. The former is the more versatile of the bunch as leans on a neutral-toned presentation. Synthetic underlays are dialed to an ivory-esque hue and come chiseled with zig-zag patterns along the mid-foot. Sitting on top of this are abstract nubuck overlays that are whipped up with “Beige” pigment. Bottom units are also presented with more “Beige” exteriors and come contrasted with a silver ABZORB mold on the lateral heels. Its release sibling lands on the darker side of the spectrum. Upper halves and the sole pieces alike alternate between dark and lighter shades of gray, the former of which is far more prominent as it coats the overlays and midsoles. Additionally, tiny hits of red are sprinkled to the tongue’s “N” logos and insole branding as well as the first set of eyelets. Both options are available right now via atmos for ¥ 9,000 (approx. $82 USD)Looking for more sneaker news?
