Back in July 2020, Jordan Brand readied a “Crater” collection, made up of sustainably-built takes on the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom, Crater and Crater Slide. Now, in July 2021, the Jumpman is adding further to its Earth-conscious lineup with a new Air Jordan 1 Mid that boasts the same circular principles as its counterparts and is inspired by the hard-wearing nature of workwear.Officially dubbed “Black/Racer Blue/White/Multi-Color,” this mid-cut Air Jordan 1 features a washed canvas mudguard, quarter panel, heel and collar, accented by black synthetic suede toeboxes and collar flaps. Swooshes are made from Nike’s flecked NikeGrind rubber — as are the outsoles — and are overlaid with jagged blue stitching for the shoe’s brightest pop of color. Midsoles are presented in flecked gray and insoles in bright blue, while final dashes of detailing arrive via a textile ball-and-wings logo on the collar flap and a hit on the tongue. The entire shoe is constructed of at least 20% recycled content by weight.Expect this sustainable Air Jordan 1 Mid to release via the Nike webstore on August 6. Its MSRP is set at $130 USD.For more news from the world of the Swoosh have a glimpse at Patta’s duo of Air Max 1 collaborations, both of which feature unique wavy mudguards.

JJJJound Has Its Say on Dr. Martens’ Archie II Silhouette
After sparking rumors of a collaboration with an Instagram post earlier this year, JJJJound’s link-up with footwear stalwarts Dr. Martens has finally been unveiled. The Canadian label — which began as a compilation of inspiring imagery and harmonious design references back in 2006 — has partnered with the likes of New Balance, Vans and Reebok over the last few years, as well as a more recent accessories release with Japanese brand PORTER.Now though, teaming up with Dr. Martens for the first time, JJJJound reimagines the epochal Archie II silhouette in both “Dark Brown Crazy Horse” and “Black Wyoming” leathers, with the former said to represent the contemporary creative, and the latter the traditional creative.Hand-crafted in Dr. Martens’ Wollaston-based factory, each shoe houses the brand’s instantly-recognisable signature yellow welt stitching, with the Wyoming sitting atop a “Smoke” V18 outsole and the “Brown Crazy Horse” upon a trans V18 outsole. Both finished with a JJJJound sewn-in tab, a set of blind eyelets and a dual-branded sock liner, the Dr. Martens x JJJJound collaboration will be available from July 31 via the Dr. Martens webstore. In other news, PLEASURES has reworked Reebok’s Club C 85 and Club C Legacy for its latest collaboration.
